A 48-inch six-burner Viking cooktop and a GE Profile microwave are set into old-fashioned navy blue cabinets, made by Fieldstone Cabinetry, and topped with Absolute Black granite. Danze pot filler. Marion pendants in Old Bronze by Hudson Valley Lighting have a vintage look. The dishes are a mix of new and old.

"I didn't want to see too many stainless-steel appliances in this old farmhouse kitchen," says designer Lynn Butler Beling. She ordered a Viking Professional Series double wall oven in a white finish, to blend in with the beadboard. The tall cabinet on the left holds cutting boards and cookie sheets. Just below it is a pull-out pantry.
