If you were to pass by this New Orleans home a little over a year ago, you probably wouldn't take a second glance — or if you did, it would be to comment on what an eyesore it was. But after a dramatic renovation, including updating the interior with a simple, modern design and eco-friendly features, this 2,289-square foot home is now a curbside stunner.

Admittedly, it almost looks like a completely new house. But we can assure you the structure is the same and the renovators even salvaged some of the original materials to create accents throughout the home, including the blue rustic kitchen island (a real beaut!), statement staircase, and bathroom vanity.

Eco-friendly amenities, like high efficiency windows, spray-foam insulation, and a tankless water heater, take this home to the next level. (Plus, the southern-facing roof is just itching for solar panels.) There's even a private balcony off of the master bedroom and a backyard with a wrap-around porch.

Don't believe us? Here's what the home looked like before:

The homeowners clearly invested some time and elbow grease into this project, which the price reflects: Back in April 2014 this place was bought for just $75,000 and now it's going for $725,000. Not too shabby (anymore).
